Ko Taranaki raua ko Nga Ruahine oku iwi
Ko Kahea Blain ahau

Kia ora, my name is Kahea Blain and I'm a 20 year old Colourblind and Dyslexic artist from Aotearoa/New Zealand. I was born and raised in Ngamotu/New Plymouth and am now living in Poneke/Wellington where I moved in 2022 to indulge in the art scene and pursue my dream. For as long as I can remember I've been drawing and creating art. Growing up in the Taranaki region I've always had a strong connection to the ocean and nature, thus giving me inspiration for most of my work. Recently I have started to express my love for portraiture and the ocean, contrasting the two and creating unique compositions. I want to show not tell with my art, to let my audience decide what it means to them and how it makes them feel. Each piece of mine is constructed with passion. Whether its portrayed as good or bad, I want people to experience the notion of my work.
